At Conexus Insurance Partners, community involvement isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are. Through our Conexus Cares program, we partner with local nonprofits making a meaningful impact in the lives of our neighbors. For our March spotlight, we are honored to support Project Angel Heart, an organization using the power of food to improve health and quality of life for people facing serious illness.
Food as Medicine
Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to Coloradans living with life-threatening conditions, including cancer, heart disease, HIV/AIDS, kidney failure, and other severe illnesses. Each meal is thoughtfully designed by registered dietitians to meet specific nutritional needs, helping clients manage symptoms, maintain strength, and focus on healing.
Beyond nutrition, Project Angel Heart provides comfort, dignity, and consistency during some of life’s most challenging moments. Their work demonstrates how food—when prepared with intention and care—can be a powerful form of medicine.
How Conexus Is Supporting Project Angel Heart in Q1
This quarter, our team is proud to support Project Angel Heart through hands-on volunteer efforts that directly impact the individuals and families they serve.
Kitchen Volunteer Event – March 25
Our Conexus team will spend time in the Project Angel Heart kitchen preparing meals for individuals with critical health needs across Colorado. Our volunteers will assist with scooping, wrapping, and sealing breakfast meals to support their vital work.
Decorating Meal Bags with Heart
In addition to meal preparation, our team will decorate meal bags with encouraging messages and creative designs. These small personal touches add warmth and hope, reminding recipients that their community is thinking of them and cheering them on.
Why This Matters
At Conexus, we believe strong communities are built through compassion, connection, and action. Supporting organizations like Project Angel Heart aligns deeply with our people-first values and our commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace.
