This July, we’re honored to spotlight Almost Home, a Brighton-based nonprofit that has been helping families and individuals facing housing instability for more than 30 years.
Providing Stability, Hope & a Path Forward
Founded in 1993, Almost Home’s mission is simple but powerful: to empower self-sustainability by providing resources, assistance, and guidance to those experiencing housing instability.
Almost Home serves individuals and families throughout Adams, Broomfield, and Southern Weld Counties, offering programs designed to meet people where they are and help them move toward long-term stability. Their services include:
- Housing stability assistance for rent, mortgage, and utilities
- Family emergency shelter
- Rapid re-housing programs
- Housing navigation and resource assistance
- Street outreach services
- Severe Weather Activation Program (SWAP)
- Respite housing for individuals and families in crisis
Through these programs, Almost Home helps provide stability, support, and hope for families working toward a brighter future.

Conexus in Action
As part of our July Conexus Cares initiative, Team Conexus will be assembling “Welcome Home Baskets” filled with household essentials for families transitioning into stable housing.
Moving into a new home is an exciting milestone, but it can also come with financial challenges. These baskets will help provide practical everyday items while reminding families that their community is cheering them on as they begin a new chapter.
