At Conexus, giving back to the communities we serve is core to who we are. Through our Conexus Cares program, we partner with local nonprofits that are creating meaningful, lasting impact. For January 2026, we are proud to spotlight CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties as our selected nonprofit partner.
Giving Children a Voice When It Matters Most
CASA—Court Appointed Special Advocates—exists to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are navigating the court system. These children are often facing some of the most difficult circumstances of their young lives, and CASA ensures they are not alone in the process.
Every CASA volunteer is appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s safety, well-being, and future. Their role is simple in concept but powerful in impact: to be a consistent, caring adult voice focused solely on what is best for the child. CASA volunteers take the time to truly know the child’s story and help the court make informed decisions that support safe, permanent, and nurturing homes.
The Impact by the Numbers
CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties continues to make a meaningful difference across our local community:
- Children Served:
In Fiscal Year 2025, 382 abused and neglected children had a CASA volunteer advocating for their best interests. - Volunteer Commitment:
During that same period, 187 CASA volunteer advocates generously donated more than 10,000 hours supporting children and families. - Ongoing Need:
While the impact is significant, many children in Adams and Broomfield Counties are still waiting for a CASA volunteer to step forward and serve as their advocate.
These numbers reflect not only the need, but also the incredible dedication of volunteers who show up—often for years at a time—to ensure a child’s voice is heard.
Why CASA Matters to Conexus
At Conexus, we believe in people-first values, community connection, and doing what’s right—even when it’s hard. CASA embodies these same principles. Their work aligns closely with our commitment to strengthening families, supporting vulnerable populations, and investing in organizations that create long-term, positive change.
When a child has a CASA volunteer, outcomes improve. Children are more likely to find safe, permanent homes and experience stability during a time of uncertainty. That’s impact that lasts far beyond the courtroom.
How You Can Get Involved
